Animal Science
by Sayoko Onishi
Site-specific Butoh performance by worldwide known choreographer and performer Sayoko Onishi, music by Tony Lloyd.
Mesh
The work of Matteo Levaggi combines the double influence of Balanchine and Cunningham and adds an astute topical touch to this solid theoretical/esthetic base. Like his contemporaries Benjamin Millepied, Christopher Wheeldon, Wayne MacGregor, and before them Angelin Preljocaj, he bears the legacy of these masters in his genes. Mesh, a show specially created for the Centro Pecci of Prato, captures both movement, film projections, sound effects, and scenic elements. The choreography creates a link between the dancing body and nature, which is represented here by objects/junk, creating an atmospheric, visionary landscape. With these emotionally-charged elements, we meet again on stage the “artistic couple” Matteo Levaggi and Elisabetta Guttuso, who made their debut at the 21st Milan Triennale at the Pirelli Hangar Bicocca in the piece Yvonne, with the Ensemble Sentieri Selvaggi.

The show questions, through the work of Amedeo Modigliani, the anatomical unity that is the container of mind and emotions, observed not as part of oneself but as otherness.

Second Earth
by and with Olimpia Fortuni, Cinzia Sità
“As viewers, we will enter and cross that space, we will be the first to have a sensorial experience of that place, and it will be the first preparatory phase of knowledge and encounter (in the dark) with the work itself. In the second and last phase of action, at the end of the path, the performative act will see us landed on a second earth, different opportunity, which nature offers us to be matter in matter, in peace and not in war, waiting for new viewers."

The performance investigates, with visual and sound suggestions, the themes of conservation and transmission, through memory, of knowledge. The transposition through a surreal image will give life to a rare "animal", perhaps already disappeared, which drags a dress built with pages of now disused books, ready for pulping, as a symbol of the memory of the past and custodians of knowledge.

Moving heroically towards the strong impact with invisible walls. Fall and return to the starting point to restart the race in a stubborn repetition of mistakes. A constant cycle that by repeating creates deep grooves.

Blind Date
by and with Giselda Ranieri
live music performed by Emanuele Parrini (violin)
A leap in the dark, an encounter without pre-concepts and pre-definitions. A body waiting to be played by the right touch of strings. Two instruments (a body and a violin) for a single chamber piece.
