FUME is a performance by the Singaporean Independent artist Pat Toh that deals with the collective breath in an age of ecological crisis. This ensemble piece rage about the effects of air pollution on the future of humankind. Continuing Toh’s research into the corporeal effects of breath, FUME uses the respiratory system as a metaphor for the extensive deteriorating ecology. The show was presented thanks to the support of T:>Works, 72-13 and National Arts Council, Singapore.

Pat Toh is an interdisciplinary artist working across theatre, dance and the live arts. She centers her practice on the body as site, resource and medium. Drawing from lived experiences and observations on body culture to contemplate the influences, effects and traumas of ideology and biopower.​
