Video-dance festival conceived as a moment of reflection on a particular type of artistic expression, video-dance, which combines the technological and innovative elements of directing with the more traditional ones of choreography and body expression.
The festival includes an award that selects every year the best video-dance pieces produced internationally. The masterpiece of the 2017 edition, held at the Madre Museum in Naples, was A coffee with Pina, a video work by Israeli filmmaker and photographer Lee Yanor. This tribute to the German mother of Tanztheater was awarded the prize for "Best foreign work and artistic career ". The artists Cosimo Terlizzi and Alessandro Sciarroni with Aurora, un percorso di creazione, and Lorenzo Zitoli with Too Late won the "Best Italian" Awards. The “Award for Direction & Dance in the City” was awarded to the Cuban choreographer and director Laura Aguero with Circunloquio. The short films by the French Philippe Decouflé (Le P'tit Bal) and the Spanish Ikér Gomez (The Swan Beauty) were awarded, together with the Neapolitan choreographer Emma Cianchi (Caos del 5), for the "Special trends" section. A special mention was reserved for the documentary by Graziano Graziani and Ilaria Scarpa Danze nel presente. Robero Castello 1993-2013 dedicated to the founder of Aldes (historical Italian contemporary dance company).
